| The Chicago Thunder was formed in 1991 as a member of the Midwest Football League. After four years of little success, it was decided to move on to a better environment. In 1995, the Thunder became a proud member of the Chicagoland Football League. In 1996, the Thunder finished the regular season with a 3 and 5 record and went on to win the CFL Championship. The Thunder defended its Championship Title in 1997 and proudly repeated as CFL Champions. The Thunder has the pleasure of having the CFL's leading rusher since entering the league and we are especially proud of being a respected team in the Midwest Region. The Chicago Thunder enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in the past four years and for the new millennium we are looking to carry on the winning tradition. |
