Bears waive CB C.J. Wilson

The Bears waived rookie cornerback C.J. Wilson on Tuesday, according to the league's transaction wire.

They also officially cut tight end Steve Maneri and signed quarterback Jordan Palmer. With the moves, the Bears have an open roster spot that will likely be filled with a veteran linebacker this week.

Wilson, an undrafted rookie out of N.C. State, was inactive for five of the Bears' seven games this season. He played on special teams in games agianst the Lions and Giants, making one tackle.
