Observations from first hour of Thursday Bears practice

Some injury and attendance updates from Bourbonnais:

Jermon Bushrod has ditched the walking boot, but is still out with a calf injury. Jonathan Scott is still out with knee soreness. Lance Briggs is in shorts, likely taking a day off. Tim Jennings remains absent – he was excused yesterday for personal reasons. D.J. Williams is in a walking boot after injuring his calf on Wednesday.

The impact on personnel has Jon Bostic, James Anderson and Blake Costanzo as the starting linebackers in the base, though we've mainly seen Bostic and Anderson since the 'D' is in the nickel often. Eben Britton is starting at left tackle.

On the field, wide receiver Terrence Toliver has made a couple nice catches. Nate Collins stuffed a run in the backfield.

There are referees here today as well.
